  August 3, 2022 - I had this two years ago and it was quite nice. Faded seriously since then. Dark red color. Green, stemmy aromas. Palate follows suit. Intense dark fruits but with a green streak. Resolved tannins. Decent acidity and balance. Bit murky on the mid-palate. Finishes short with sour red fruits. Not awful but definitely past prime. Open for 90 minutes, with a small pour removed, before note taken.

  June 8, 2020 - Bright cherry red in color. Lush red fruit on the nose with a hint of eucalyptus. The palate shows deep, lush fruit, cherries, chocolate, leather. There is a bright burst of cherry fruit on the mid-palate. Fine, polished tannins, lovely acidity and balance. Finishes short to moderately long but still quite pretty. I could ask for a bit more complexity, but very nice. Having stood up this well for this long, the complexity may come. This could go another 5 years. 14.6% ABV but no heat at all.

  February 14, 2017 - Dark cloudy red, glowing under the light. Knockout nose of cassis, cedar, heavy dust, blackberries. Tons of sweet dusty blackberry and pencil shavings and cedar. Delicious black raspberry finish that gets more delicious as the minutes go by. It is drinking marvelously and should be fine for another 3-5 years at least.

  October 2, 2016 - Amazing Magnum to serve for the holiday. The cork was in great shape which impressed me since it was an 03. It was great from the open and did not need much air. Stayed consitent over the 2 hours it was consumed.
