September 15, 2011 - Still dark in colour with no obvious sign of age. Cherry/cherry stone, dusty and slightly lifted nose with some bubblegum showing throuhg on swirling.
On the palate, a nice balance of structure with still youthful fruit and refrsshing acidity closely in support. Still quite a bit of tannic grip.
Very enjoyable now, but will be interesting to see how this is going in 3 or more years time -

Yet the fruit if full and sweet, with some complexity to support the liquerish cherry main focus. Also that background hint of straw that you often taste in Amarones. Very good now, could well be very impressive in another 5 years.
