April 2, 2022 - I’m on a head scratching run with Realm right now. Had some young wines that were hot and disjointed, but this wine is 10 years old and had a similar feel, albeit toned down in comparison. This was a sweet, one-note wine. I liked the one note, but it was hard to pick out as having Cab Franc. Modern, bold, and a nice cocktail wine.

November 14, 2020 - Another great red blend from Realm...dark, rich blackberry fruit with notes of cassis, lavender, mocha and a touch of licorice on the finish. Absolutely must decant for at least an hour+ but when you do, you have a perfectly balanced wine with tannins that integrate nicely with the fruit. Super well made.

October 18, 2020 - Excellent wine that I drank with friends adjacent to other 2012 Bordeaux varietals. At 60% cab franc this seemed really pushed to the blue side with a weighty mid palate that stretched for ages. With decanting the fruit moved out of such a jammy phase but going against other 2012s at this age clearly had this lose out to a Fairchild Sigaro, a DR Stephens and a Paul Hobbes. I think my last score appreciated this in isolation but I wouldn’t score that high now that I had the others side by side.
