  November 4, 2020 - Purchased from the winery in 2017, pop and pour from my cool cellar. The nose on the wine is a relatively interesting pinot noir. The palate is completely lacking, thin, slightly acidic and bitter. I actually opened this wine due to having poor luck with Arcadian pinots (their syrah and chardonnay are wonderful) and I wanted a YOUNGER one because the older ones have been dead/boring. Well, the bottle wasn't dead, but it sure was boring. No improvement over the 2 hours that it was in front of me. As a weekday pinot, it met the requirements, but as a $50+ bottle it absolutely does not. However, it was a fair pairing with the overall theme of the 2020 presidential election.

  November 16, 2019 - 2019 Los Olivos Trip; 11/14/2019-11/17/2019: Smells like a tight, perfumy young wine, but the texture is more generous than the nose led me to believe. The palate is soft up front, with some slight caramelization. As with a lot of older Arcadian wines, the acids are smooth up front and then mystifyingly they intensify to structure the wine at the end.

  November 28, 2018 - Translucent ruby. With minimal coaxing, aromas of cranberries, strawberries, cinnamon, potpourri and roses leap out of the glass. In the mouth, the wine is light- to medium-bodied, with earth, sage and copious sweet red fruits that are offset by strong acidity from start to finish. A very tasty Pinot Noir that is in the zone right now. 13.7% ABV. 93.
