May 26, 2023 - Part of an odds and ends event for my wine group. All the wines were opened, but not decanted for at least 45 minutes before serving. Very enjoyable, but the Cab Franc is pronounced and those that tend to not like CF had this rated lower than I did. The oak notes are well integrated and the finish is medium plus. Of the 4 reds we had this was my third favorite, but just a hair behind the first 2, (2011 Quilceda Creek Galitzine and 2005 Anderson's Conn Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve.

December 25, 2022 - Tale of two wines. Day 1, for about 4 hours, very primal, fruit forward, not that different from the result of opening in 2016. Day 1 late and into Day 2, much more like a Bordeaux of slightly older provenance, leaves, soil, spice, plum. Very interesting experience.

December 12, 2022 - Not a bad wine, but a miss for me. Grape cough syrup, bell pepper, and baked figs. Others seemed to really enjoy it, but I couldn't get over how each sip reminded me of the children's cough medicine I took as kid.

October 28, 2022 - thenesterowl TN's closest to my experience. Truly a special wine experience for me. I'm a big fan of Chris C.'s heavy lean in to the CF.

September 23, 2022 - This bottle received a thorough decanting and was consumed over two days. It was better than may last bottle. It was delicious. I wish I had more of this wine/vintage. Its in a great place now and will probably last longer, but the question is why?
