October 15, 2023 - In drinking window and no reason to keep this much longer. Tasty olive and berry flavors with earth. I like AR Syrahs, but for a wine like this which will never be as complex as Clary or Que Syrah I do wish the aging profile were a bit shorter. Ten years is a long time to wait. That being said, I really appreciate the AR style. We had a 2013 Ramey Rogers Creek Syrah last week and the 14.5 alcohol heat was terrible. The contrast between this and that is clear. This is so much better.

July 17, 2023 - dinner at The Morris in SF, mix of main course dishes
some tertiary stuff poking through but still plush

    September 12, 2022 - Tasted over 2 hrs
    -opaque dark red purple
-rich dark berry black pepper violet olive juice
-med acidity, med weight med+ concentration juicy earthy dark berry violet, med/med- tannins
-this is a beautiful marriage of new world fruit hitting its mature stage and northern Rhône savory, full of energy life and density, just as good as a bottle 5 years ago, in a great place now and no hurry either, bravo!

March 10, 2020 - Good wine finally drinkable without a long decant. Dark, black olive, earth and blackberry. Not especially complex but savory and flavorful.

May 5, 2019 - Brambly blackberry and earth with some black pepper and green olive. Still pretty young but still drinking well. It should continue to improve for a while yet.
