January 31, 2020 - A well-stored bottle with good acidity and very mature flavors of rotting tropical fruits, caramel and butterscotch. Well made but clearly passed its best in my opinion but others at the table liked it more.

July 17, 2016 - The colour looked ok and we had high hopes. Initial sniff was a big whack of matchstick sulphur and we thought it was game on. When the wine breathed up it was a little flat and had too much honeycomb and creme caramel action. It is a powerful wine but the precision has been planed off.

July 21, 2011 - nose: green tea, cream at the start, something like coconut much later
mouth: concentration, cream, butter, spice and honey came up later
    excellent

December 14, 2009 - Pierre Morey/Lafite Lunch: Perfect condition, not the slightest hint of over-maturity, indeed showing quite young. Flint and gunsmoke nose, palate steely and intense, stunning laser like focus, but slightly led by the oak - a completely different treatment to the Meursault of his drunk alongside. Wish I had more, which I would leave for a good while...

June 15, 2008 - An amazing wine that unfortunately came after a 98 Leflaive Chevalier Montrachet. More "new world' in style with a riper fruit profile and a decent amount of very fine french oak. Rich and round on the palate.
