Community Tasting Notes 2

September 29, 2019 - Nose of cassis, black cherry, maybe a touch of leather or smoke- nicely pungent although also on the hot side. Lots of oak coming through, a hint of cedar but more dominated by milk chocolate/buttery notes which were consistently present and a little overwhelming although tasty. Palate is a little soft and pruny, not the freshest. Still some nice blackberry flavors and slight bell pepper nuance as it gained air. Not a bad cab for $25 (weird type of thing to find at a Total Wine too.) Just needed more lift/acidity on the palate to match the nose; might have been better a few years ago.

April 7, 2018 - Drank really nicely. Well balanced with plenty of black & red fruits. Black cherry and blackberry. Hints of smoke. Integrated tannins. Drink now if you have it or can find it.
