    April 4, 2004 - Med clear ruby, aromas of smoke, ripe currant, raisin, funky vegetal aromas, penetrating cedar & currant, fig, vanillan oak, b2, a3+, t2+, starts light & soft w/very fine gritty tannins creeping up on finish along w/explosive acidity out fo nowhere, d5, flabby, simple, lots of vanillan oak, still passable (3-4)

    July 3, 2003 - Dark purplish ruby, aromas of cassis, spicy oak, coconut, some dill, solid core of fruit but too much oak?, b3+, a3+, t2+, rich sweet fruit, soft on the palate, good balance, simple but very pleasant, very solid core of fruit, nice berry & currant, oak a tad more integrated w/air, d6, a bit tart & sour, not as good, better w/air, still has a slightly sour finish, thick, rich coconut & vanillan oak, chocolate, some fruit, passable
