March 30, 2024 - Drank with steak. Decanted for 90 minutes. Had so use strainer. Excellent wine but definitely showing its age. Still plenty of grape but becoming very subdue. Perhaps would decant a little longer.
The wine looks purple colored. The legs are slow. There is heavy sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry.

April 13, 2012 - Very nice. Beautiful ruby color. Nose of red fruit and menthol. Palate of berries and cedar. Still kicking! Lots of fun.

October 12, 1999 - ORANGE ON THE EDGE, RICH BERRY FRUIT, LICORICE, AND MINT IN THE NOSE. BLACKBERRIES, CURRENTS, AND A TOUCH OF LICORICE IN THE FLAVOR. MEDIUM LENGTH FINISH.
