  March 9, 2021 - I am very impressed with this wine. It is a fuller wine with a listed 14.1% abv so it won't be confused with a red Burgundy. However, those who enjoy red Burgundy will probably not be turned off by this. Nice bright red fruit and cola and spices but the structure stands out: touch of soot, tannins, complimentary acidity. There is also good length on the finish.
  
  I will drink my other bottle sooner vs. later as I feel the loss of any of the bright fruit won't improve the balance of this wine.

  July 19, 2018 - Popped and poured. First time having this varietal. Pleasant enough. Blackberry and violets on the nose. Cranberry predominant on the palate. Quite balanced with the acidity mostly in check, but light. Tastes like a less expressive pinot noir. Not bad for the $21 price point we bought it at
