May 15, 2022 - Voyager Estate (McLeay Street Bistro, Potts Point): Aromas of eucalyptus, blackcurrant and plum, sweet spice, savoury as well; a little meaty underpin. Medium plus intensity acidity, alcohol warmth, softly tannic, a little alcoholic and, contrarily, a touch of greenness as well. Hmm.
48 hours later after being under argon
This is quite withdrawn and muted but, actually, that isn't a bad thing, a little red plums blackcurrant and black plum. On the palate it's all softly engaging but with crunchy fruit, served at about 17C so the alcohol is less intrusive, tannins are soft as they were on Sunday. s'okay.1 person found this helpful Comment -

Still green and acidic. Rather astringent really.
I suspect it needs plenty of years yet to soften; despite being 10 years old.
