Community Tasting Notes 7

January 23, 2021 - This wine is inherently flawed with a mix of stewed fruit characters 'balanced' by unripe tannins and pyrazine characters. It should never have been bottled let alone sold !

November 21, 2019 - Dense, dark red/brick. Intense aromas of decomposing vegetables, cream corn, molasses, leather. Not pleasant. Very little fruit flavour, almost chemical. Weird viscosity/texture. Bizarre wine.

November 21, 2019 - Dark crimson red with brick red hue. Vegetal leafy DMS aromas dominate with notes of dried fruits and bl cherry. Subtle white pepper note. Some slight gamey development. Sweet dates and cherry fruit with meaty savoury and herb leaf notes. Mod length with slight grippy persistent tannin to finish. Maybe a little forward.

November 21, 2019 - Brick-red. High intensity, plum, raspberry, spice - cloves, leather, tobacco pouch, Xmas cake. Powdery mouthfeel, slightly drying, med/high intensity, plum, raisins, Xmas cake, balanced acid, fresh raspberry aftertaste, long finish, still fresh for 2012

November 21, 2019 - Clear, dull deep garnet to orange. Unsure if clean, pronounced intensity, dark chocolate orange, boot polish, methylated spirit, cherry ripe, fully developed. Dry, over the top DMS development, blackcurrant cough lolly, hard to get past but high alcohol, high acid, full bodied, low length.
