August 31, 2023 - Dark cherry and blueberries with an ashy spiciness. Touch of plum and plum skins adding bitterness. Nice pétillante frizz and touch of pencil wood on finish. Fully matured.

March 27, 2023 - Nice aromatic nose. Ruby with browning edges Plums, blackberry, fruity and earth on nose.

Palate of plum skins, black and blue berries (cooked - slightly bitter) with a certain salinity and umami on finish. Opened up to show more red fruit inc strawberrt Notable Freisa fizzant to it. Nicely put together wine and very distinctive and interesting to try. Quite refreshing.

Perhaps lacks complexity compared to more expensive wines but good value and worthwhile. Paired very nicely with lunch and was enjoyed by all present. Certainly punched above the expectations set by other notes on Cellar tracker.

In its prime drinking window now - no need to decant.

September 26, 2019 - Interesting and tasty Freisa. I like the fizz and refreshing quality of this wine. Bouquet of some blueberries, caraway seeds and some umami.
Medium body and quite refreshing. Very authentic wine.

July 30, 2017 - 13% alc...nose of hazelnuts, macerated berries, red fruited, cooked fruits not fresh picked...brief frizzante in the glass, medium tannin, medium weight. Wished I'd had some younger bottlings. Enjoyable as a case study!
