October 24, 2021 - The wine has high acidity. It smells like strawberry and plum. The wine finishes medium. It tastes like cranberry, black pepper, red currant, stoniness, rose and raisin. The wine looks ruby coloured. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. The wine has linear texture. A decent approachable Amarone. Good value.

October 13, 2016 - Moderately translucent pomegranate red with a hint of developed maroon hue. The wine is very rich, powerful and surprisingly developed on the nose with bold aromas of raisins, some oxidative pruney tones, a little bit of sweet black cherries, a hint of dried dates and a touch of dusty earthiness. The wine is very full-bodied and extracted - basically chewy - on the palate with somewhat noticeable alcohol heat and concentrated flavor of wizened black cherries, prunes, some raisiny tones, a little bit of developed leathery character, a little bit of amaro bitterness and a hint of dried medicinal herbs. The wine is nicely high in acidity, but the tannins feel rather round and mellow. The finish is noticeably more bitter and slightly more grippy than the midpalate with long, developed flavors of raisiny dark fruits, prunes, some amaro bitterness, a little bit of developed, oxidative flavors of dried figs and dates and a touch of sour cherry.
A surprisingly developed Amarone given it is only 6 years of age. The wine doesn't feel particularly "old", but still showing quite a bit of oxidative character along with the rich raisiny fruits typical of the style. Quite enjoyable and balanced, but nothing too memorable. Nice richness which is well-contained with the moderately high acidity - although I think the wine could've used a bit more firm tannic grip.
