Community Tasting Notes 4

April 20, 2015 - As noted before, intensely spicy and savory and rather alcoholic tasting, but definitely a big step above industrial plonk. Has a nice espresso coffee vibe overlayed with blackberry compote. At under $6 at Trader Joe's, a very decent buy.

February 12, 2015 - Savory and full-bodied. Smoky intense spice dominates, with a background a blackberry and hot dog. I also eventually noticed accents of forest and eucalyptus. I could see someone more into this intensely savory style scoring it more like 88. Couldn't be more different than this brand's thin and fruit-driven 2013 Tempranillo.

December 8, 2014 - Nose is soft, palate is fruit forward with blackberry, black licorice, and spice notes. Well balanced and a pleasant come home to red. Nice.
