  May 19, 2020 - Great pizza night wine--have a few sips with the pizza, then enjoy the rest as it opens afterwards. A bit tense and quiet right out of the bottle, and wavered a bit as it opened (is it falling off a stewed fruit cliff? is the fruit dead?) but then ended up in familiar, pleasant red cherry with medium plus acidity like most CCRs. Still some tannins. Good now.

  November 2, 2017 - Delightful wine. Good balance and proportion with bright acidity, lovely fruit and savory herb qualities and moderate tannin. Great complement to food, especially tomato sauce-based cuisine.

  June 27, 2016 - Deep, dark reddish purple in color. Full, fragrant & attractive nose of youthful, ripe red fruit aromas of cherries, berries & plums with overtones of dried herbs & earthy/dusty notes, tea, spices, minerals, loam & a touch of cedar in the background. Medium bodied with a good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, youthful, ripe red fruit flavors of sour cherries, strawberries & red plums with herbs, earthy, minerals, spices & a touch of oak. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting and airing but has the potential for further development with additional aging. A wonderful & enjoyable wine with an excellent QPR.
