February 17, 2020 - A dark and serious style that is a dead ringer for left bank Bordeaux. Brooding almost. This is all black current and tobacco leaf with firm tannin still. With lots of air some blackberry fruit and a lace of eucalyptus caress the senses. But the dominating personality of this wine leans on the current and tobacco leaf. I can see this being in top shape 10 more years from now. Well done James Cole and Bertus!

March 8, 2019 - Wonderful nose of blackberries, eucalyptus, pencil lead. Mouth feel smooth, medium weight with some tannins. Rather dusty/chalky. Not compelling.

August 18, 2017 - Excellent cab. Lots of eucalyptus on the nose and palate, but doesn't get in the way of the rest of it. Reminded me of a subtler version of an Australian cab. Drinking great now with 30 minutes of air, 7-10 years left in it.
