October 3, 2022 - My 4th and final bottle of this wine. Took this to the Farm for BBQ from chef Sean Hale. It was drinking very well and a solid match for the bbq. Deep crimson color. Notes of stewed red fruit, figs and raisins. Not as hot or alcoholic as previous bottles. Moderate tannins at this stage. Drink now. 93 points.

October 1, 2022 - Courtesy of VM. I will begin by stating that I am not a fan of Amarone as I do not care for the raisin and prune elements. That said, this one wasn’t bad. Deeply colored. Fig and black fruit with an herbal undertone. Ripe dark fruit on the palate with just a hint of the raisiny fruit I do not care for. Good for an Amarone.

October 6, 2020 - so rich and full flavored. dried cherries, brandied prunes, chocolate, cedar? thick on the palate and long. I doubt it would have improved much if we left it longer, but it was terrific last night. Decanted 3 hours and then enjoyed with dinner for another hour. Beef and stout pie with a Stilton-studded crust.

March 27, 2020 - Needed 1-2 hours of air to really open up.
The wine is packed with sweet and dried prune fruit. It is almost too much but the acidity helps improve the overall impression.
Raisins dominate the wine which is not my favorite but still, there are lots of stuffing and I would prefer to store this for 5-10 years more and hope for more fresh fruit to emerge.
Still, it is consistent with the profile of the wine and overall it gave a good impression.

December 11, 2016 - I wasn't thrilled with this wine. I'm a big fan of Amarone but something seemed off with the flavor profile, can't nail it down. Could be that I had a bad bottle or that it could have been oxidized, but I suspect that is the flavor profile on the decline.

Many folks rate this highly, but I disagree.. 83 points at best. If you have this wine, drink asap, it's certainly not going to get any better.
