May 13, 2023 - Ahhh… now this is a beautiful wine that fits squarely in my wheelhouse. After a 1 hour decant, this was wonderful. While still young, it already is approachable with an amazing purity of high toned red fruit like cranberries, pomegranate, and even some strawberry jam. Borderline exotic fruit but still in an old world style. On top of the fruit, there was a strong vein of minerality and earth making this one of my new favorite Red Burgs for the price point. Yum!

April 25, 2023 - CCT Burgundy Dinner (Daley's on Yates, Schenectady, NY): [Opened (but not decanted) about two hours before serving.] Very young. Tight nose of tar and cherries. Full in the mouth with good underlying tannins. May improve over the next decade. 92-??

April 23, 2023 - (tasted twice lately out of 375ml bottle). This is obviously young but starting to show some good stuff with considerable air time. Deep red cherry fruit, briar scents, iron-type minerality, blood, cured meats (prosciutto?). Dusty tannins today but the midpalate fat comes out and becoming considerably bigger with time in the glass. 91+. Another bottle showed more woodsy/mossy type of complexity with beet root and just a bit more early sous bois action. NO RUSH.

December 24, 2021 - Decanted for 3 hours, red cherry on the nose with a bit of funk (sulfur?) and intoxicating floral notes, flavors are of red cherry, a bit of earth, a bit thin (but I’ve been drinking a lot of bold Cali cabs lately), nice acid, no tannins, medium length finish, a perfect pairing with bloomy rind triple cream cheese from Burgundy. Overall a very nice wine. Addendum: After a few more hours the fruit comes out more maybe a little darker, also get some meat flavors so a nice evolution. Perhaps better to hold a couple more years.
