Community Tasting Notes 2

  • Eudemis Likes this wine:

December 18, 2016 - Colour shows some evolution. Unmistakable pinot nose. The mouth is elegant and long, refined rather than opulent. Oak is not perceptible. Excellent grip and balancing acidity. This is one of the very few pinots from outside Burgundy which I find that I can enjoy for its own sake, rather than by reference to one or other of the Burgundian crus. A repeat purchase for me. I am told that the "X" refers to the ten generations of the family that have owned and worked the vineyard; well, they certainly got the hang of it!

    March 1, 2015 - Decanted two hours
very fruity expression of red Sancerre. Depth and long finish, and had the structure to accompany a boeuf bourgignon
Very nice, can age a few more years to reach peak
