April 15, 2011 - On first opening a little bitter, mellows with time in the glass. Cherry and dark fruits are prominent. Chewy ripe tannins. A lot of sediment - should decant.

July 29, 2008 - nice dark color with aromas of aged dark fruit, stewed veggies, and earth-full with flavors of darkfruit, cassis, and a pinch of cedar box finishing dry. Very basic with good varietal character.
