July 8, 2021 - My second to last bottle of this. Tasted again after nearly six years and 16 years in bottle. A little ragged when first opened but after 30 minutes of breathing it really opened up.
Color: Beautiful deep ruby/purple center with pink/ruby rim. No browning at all.
]
Nose: Deep, rich nose of meat, stewed dark fruits, violet and vanilla.
Palate: Bright fruit flavors and silky tannins on the palate. Red fruits and good acidity keep everything in balance.
Overall: This keeps getting better with age. I'm going to try to wait another five years before opening my last bottle. -

January 4, 2016 - Wird immer besser. Eine ehrliche Haut zum sehr guten Preis. Schön gealtert. Dunkel, erdig, dezente Cabernet-Frucht.

August 27, 2015 - Starting to come into a sweet spot after 10 years in bottle.
Color: Deep purple to ruby rim\
Nose: Deep, smokey, meaty aromas now cover the alcohol. Some spice, hay and black fruits.
Palate: Nice grip and balance. Fairly long too. Tannins resolving. Flavors of plum, spice, smoked meat, and leather.
Not elegant by a long shot. Dare I say, rustic? But a complete and enjoyable wine to be served with red meat or robust stews.
