May 14, 2023 - Solid effort. Moderate tannins. Dried black cherry. Drinking well now.

February 13, 2023 - Popped and poured to taste, splash decanted by waitstaff and enjoyed over the course of dinner that lasted 2+ hours. In a very good place right now and incredibly elegant, with bright acidity, although this could easily age longer. Prior to the wine's evolution, pretty strong and notable mid palate notes of mint / menthol which was very interesting. Dark fruit still present but also a bit of floral, and plentiful acidity, and a hint of oak which slowly faded into the background. Magical with salumi, and got better with a lamb sausage pizza. After opening a 2017 Brunello with a one hour decant to discover that the oak was still pretty strong, this was the backup wine and fortunately it more than delivered. Wish I had more bottles.

November 2, 2022 - Outstanding Brunello that takes a little time to open up. We drank our bottle after a 45 min decant, and it showed improvement over the next two hours. We really wanted to drink it over two nights but liked it too much to delay our gratification! We have one bottle left and are hopeful it will continue to evolve. Nice red fruit flavors with hints of licorce and an earthiness. Very balanced with fine tannins. Drink now or wait another 3-5 years to get more intensity.

August 8, 2022 - better than a few years ago but still quite tannic. Needs a few more years

February 14, 2022 - Popped and poured and this is ready to go. Light notes of mushroom, apple, smoked meats. Not a pronounced bouquet at all. Tannins have smoothed and are well integrated at this point. I'd say peak window for this and drink now and over the next 3 years before it fades.
