Community Tasting Notes 6

October 28, 2018 - Brick red, paling edges. Bq w herbs, liquorice, smoky minerality, dark fruits. Medium body w rounded tannins, still good acidity, fruit surprisingly forward w hints of strawberries (!), Very good balance, fully mature. Long aftertaste. Elegant. It seems almost Burgundian sometimes, tastes a good way north of its origin. Will last a few more years. Lovely!!

June 20, 2018 - Acker Auction - June 2018 (Laduree NYC W Broadway): I always really like these and this one was no different. It's more herbal than red fruits although those are there as well. Amazing the way Rayas can pack so much flavor into such a very light and delicate wine. Very tasty.

July 28, 2017 - Fabulous wine. I'm always impressed at Rayas-based wines (even the third label like this one). It starts off very light and elegant, but as it gains air it also gains body. Really enjoyed.

January 13, 2010 - Nice fruity, gravelly character with full, dark, ripe fruit. Slight taste of figs.
