April 20, 2024 - Warm orange/garnet in the glass. Spice, forest floor, leather, and some cherry on the nose. Fruit, spices, tea, and tobacco on a smooth palate with soft dusty tannins on the finish. Not complex. Lighter than anticipated. It's a nice food wine and went well with our meal of breaded chicken cutlets and an Italian salad. It developed further over the course of the evening so I believe this wine still has some life left.

March 11, 2024 - Forest and earth belie the cherry peaking thru. Has a great frame and I have high expectations. Give it a couple of years.
