April 4, 2021 - From 50cl bocksbeutel screwcap. Either someone spilled a can of petrol or this must be a mature nobly-sweet Riesling. Nothing could prepare you for the entry. Hefty acidity, passion fruit, remarkable tiny bubbles of CO2 (but not a hint of refermentation) like a young Mosel. Strong grape sweetness on the mid-palate, the sugar grows in a not entirely pleasant way on the finish. NR tonight, revisit tomorrow...
Update after 48 hours. Strong grapey sweetness, very sugary, highly acidic, all the aforementioned qualities not in balance or integrated, but fighting it out in the glass. Pure, in the sense there are no evident flaws, but this doesn't make for a good experience. 85–86P(?)
