February 4, 2023 - This bottle is tasting like it is right smack dab in the middle of a nice drinking window right now.

Aromatically effusive, a couple hours after open- tarragon, beets, roses, blood orange,l pithy rind, pencil lead, and pink peppercorns.

Dusty palate, with drying tannins upfront, acid in the middle and a broad swath of tannins on the finish.

Floral upfront, some cherry and blood oranges in the mid palate and then long drying herbal notes on the end.

This bottle feels like it is just at the very start of something nice with an easy 5-10 years to go.

Drink with a decant or hold and enjoy later.

August 16, 2022 - This seemed advanced; unclear as to why. Poured a dark garnet. Nose initially gives dried figs, forest floor & dried leaves, and a bit of soft brown spice (nutmeg). With an hour of air a bit of unerripe & dried strawberries come in. Medium body, earthy & dried fruits, and a thin line of tannins with notable acid come through on the palate. Medium finish shows a mix of those earthy, tertiary tones.

I would have guessed ~20 years old if blind. Guessing this was a one off odd bottle, but will be consuming my other one soon in case it shows similarly

September 18, 2021 - Deep ruby, some browning. On opening big wave of tar hits. Later this receded a bit. Plenty of dark stone fruits, cherry, plum. Liquorice. Bit of wood smoke. Plenty acidity. Tannins still quite drying but not coarse. Very decent basic Barolo, starting to drink well.

March 21, 2021 - Gut gereifter Basisbarolo, 1 Stunde karaffiert, passt einfach...fehlt ein bisschen die Tiefe seiner zumeist viel teureren Konkurrenten...aber idealer Speisebegleiter

March 1, 2020 - For OTBN. Gosh this was delicious. Such a nice texture, beautifully balanced tannins, a pleasure to drink. Could have very easily kept going but it was a pleasure now.
