May 6, 2023 - 10 years after Riesling tasting - 2013 (Restaurant Holz und Feuer, Kirchheim, Germany): Glass: Sophienwald Universal
Clear pale golden color. Beautiful deep and smoky nose, some tobacco leaves, lime, mineral, great perfume.
On the palate lean, precise, high acidity, beautiful tension. Smoky, some ripe lime, very juicy. Wonderful balance and energy. Very long finish. Today on the same level as the Hermannshöhle, probably a bit less energy, but who cares. Still upscale potential. 96+

    October 28, 2022 - not blind
Elegant, still too fresh, reluctant, lemon, passionfruit, saline, could be more length. 92-93

March 26, 2022 - Plenty to like here. A very classic German Riesling, concentrated, while lean, vertical, a wee bit strict - but only a wee bit. Citrus galore here, a mineral backbone, just hints of petrol; drinking a point, IMHO.
