  July 21, 2019 - Nose has bountiful white cigar ash, tangerine skin, lemon pulp, and tarragon. If acidity isn’t perfect, given the near absence of sugar, any trocken’s flaws are quickly apparent. Here, despite the lovely ash, chalk, white pepper, and tangerine flavors, there’s an undeniable sourness to the citrus, more bothersome without food. A bit of effervescence on the orange pop tart finish. When served with food utilizing those same tart flavors - like grilled chicken marinated for two days in adobo seasoning, bitter orange (Goya!), cumin, and agave syrup, - the lively acidity of the Keller does its job, and what was “sour” is now complimentary. Also worked w a baked vegetable gratin sprinkled with fennel pollen. Fennel and dry rieslings have a natural affinity.

  May 11, 2019 - Après quelques années voici un excellent riesling droit, précis, sur des arômes de cotron confit, d’une extrême douceur. Encore !
