September 29, 2021 - Balanced richness and salinity. Perhaps fraying just a bit on the edges.

February 22, 2019 - Clearly some bottles show fresher than this one, which started on the nose showing age - more than ideal to my taste. The attack shows why this wine is as admired as it is, as it was gorgeous, solid and monumentally gracious, pure and delicious. It is a full wine, loads of dry extract and an amazing combination of gravel and grapefruit. A fresher bottle would have been amazing and earned a higher score.

July 3, 2018 - Great dry lemon and limestone notes. Subtle acids here. Very broad palate. Still opening up as I was finishing it, could have used more time

December 11, 2016 - Quite waxy on the nose with trace amounts of that classic oyster shell and ocean tones but better developed with some maturity. White flowers with lemon meringue pie. Development shows better with more air time but overall reads young and very fresh. Candied citrus. Intense minerality with zesty acidity. The finish here is intense and piercing with singing acidity through the finish. Still a Chablis but gaining the weight and richness of a decent, youthful Meursault. Maybe gives a hint of smoke after four hours.

November 6, 2015 - Great Wine Dinner with Friends (RPM Steak - Chicago IL): My friend most likely bought this at release, so a perfectly stored bottle. Reductive start, but the great concentration shone through immediately from the start. Lots of apple and pear aromas and flavors with power and persistence. Excellent once open 10-15 minutes, possibly even better when finished 3 hours later.
