  August 13, 2023 - Wonderful nose which already was a good sign that I was going to love this. On the palate, it had a dark black black fruit profile with blackberry, crème de cassis, and just a slight hint of its decade of time creeping in. My lone bottle of this and my first Carter purchase so I wanted to share with friends. This was an amazing wine…..absolutely loved it and wish I had purchased more than one bottle. Headed to Carter at the end of the month. Might have to but more!!

  March 17, 2023 - Popped and poured. The wine is in a good place right now. Very balanced with beautiful dark fruit leading the way. I have one more bottle and have no worries letting it rest another year.

  January 4, 2023 - Decanted two hours and consumed over next. Dark fruit tannins mostly resolved. Drinking very well

  December 27, 2022 - Second bottle from this producer after a Fortuna Vineyard 2015 drunk a couple of years ago.
  To me, these were very similar wines with black fruit and high ABV. Almost a caricature of Napa Cabs, even though I get that this kind of wine can be attractive.
