Community Tasting Notes 4

February 10, 2018 - Nose of cranberry, sour cherry, caramelized sugar, and a slight touch of leather. Flavors of cranberry, red raspberry, and white pepper on the palate. The wine has a slight tannic bite that meshes nicely with the medium long finish. Not sure that it will improve much with additional time in the bottle.

November 2, 2017 - PNP, drank over 2 nights. Beautiful nose, beautiful taste. Paso’s answer to CdP. Smooth, easy drinker, but has something to say.

October 8, 2017 - Popped and it seemed ready to go after only an hour or so open. Medium to profound aromas of cherry pie, pepper, a little green juniper and chalky peppermint. The plush, supple texture fits right in with the Grenache flavor profile and is buttressed by a great kick of acidity. Red licorice and candy cigarette (which I like) also keep popping in my mind as descriptors. Mac has done it again, continuing to translate Paso's exceptional aptitude with Rhone varietials. 4+12+17+9 = 92

August 5, 2017 - PNP, drank over 2 nights. Translucent maroon color. Very attractive nose, with cherry fruit prominent. Mouth-coating texture is this wine's calling card. Finish is long and spicy. Very nice.
