May 1, 2019 - Spice and flowers on plummy red fruit. Deeper than the Faurie but not as sensual.

March 10, 2017 - UGC-Tasting 2014 Amsterdam 6 March 2017; A very nice and juicy wine, good acidity in the backbone; the château shows its new and more elegant style.

    January 20, 2017 - Château Soutard 2014 Kosher
Nose displays red fruits, fresh paint and a hint of licorice.
Palate is medium bodied, it has a nice balance, quite fresh and a good acidity.

November 25, 2016 - Château Soutard, Saint-Emilion 2014: Deep inky red with royal purple reflections. This is a blend of primarily Merlot, Cabernet Franc as well as small percentages of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. After extensive and vigorous swirling in the glass, the nose starts to reveal notes of black and raspberries, lavender and cigar box with hints of freshly turned earth. Medium, perhaps medium to full-bodied, with fine concentration as well as a suave and caressing texture. The palate features notes of juicy blackberries, strawberries and raspberries as well as star anis, graphite, a touch of earth, white pepper, pipe tobacco, with medium-plus acidity and searing, fine grained and powdery tannins rising while highlighting notes of dark chocolate covered cherries on a long and elegant finish. This is a very young yet delightful and remarkable classic Saint-Emilion with a bright future ahead of it. 13.5% Abv. Drink 2021-2030, perhaps longer. 92-93

April 27, 2015 - Floral aromas, paired with fresh red berries and licorice on the nose, this elegant medium-bodied wine carries the red fruit theme all the way through to the finish. 88-90 Pts
