September 8, 2023 - Tasting great, nice balance of fruit, oak, and tannin.

  • mwneil Does not like this wine: 80 points

March 11, 2017 - Tasted at Astor, very astringent, light with not much flavor other than sour, would not buy.

February 11, 2017 - Red fruit, raspberries up front, thinner in the middle but finishes with decent acidity.

February 2, 2017 - Medium ruby with a soft violet rose nose. Night two. Dry lightly tart red berry, strawberries and raspberries with some lightly tart tannins. Lighter body and fruit, exceedingly fresh and lively with some underlying lemon zest and balsam. Not too austere nor reserved at this point, showing a good balance towards the lightly fruity side with some nicely integrated tannins for complexity. Drinking very well.

January 22, 2017 - Dark ruby, nose of brambles, violets on day two. Bright red berry, rhubarb, red currants, elderberries with some balsam forest notes. Medium fruit and body showing some restraint, freshness with the acid and a more sour than sweet Jolly Rancher cherry on the finish. Needed the second day for the initial raw flavors to harmonize and drinking pleasantly now. This is an enjoyable lighter PN that should be very good with lighter fare and in the summer when wanting a bit more than a rosé. I'm drinking and liking the '14s while waiting on the '13s.
