February 27, 2024 - This wine (L15.132, bottle # 10772) was decanted 90 minutes before dinner but did not fully open until about the three hour mark. It's a delicious, fragrant, classic Nebbiolo with a touch of richness. It's got a great structure, firm acid and tannin, with both tart and sweet cherries competing for attention, a slight and pleasing medicinal note, black tea, and a sappy, bittersweet finish. Drink to 2035. Good QPR.

February 21, 2024 - Decanted 90 minutes before service. In the glass, a youthful, clear, saturated cherry with hints of blood orange at the rim. On the nose, cherries, strawberries, citrus, and a touch of oak. On the palate, cherries with a slight (but appealing) astringency, ripe strawberries, asphalt, and rosewater, on a moderately long finish. The kind of wine that plays nicely at table.

Dark cherries, hazel, tea leaves, smoky, menthol and just plain awesome Barbaresco nose.
