April 29, 2024 - Superb wine. Beautiful dark cherry with fine acidity. Love lovely length and very enjoyable on the palate. Should last another few years but no need to wait.

April 1, 2016 - A perfumed and peppery 94/100 (4.0/5.0) from me. This Pinot hails from the steep, close planted Lucinda Estate, Gippsland and a warm 2013 vintage, where 150 dozen were made. Halliday gave it 97 noting "a rose garden with a profusion of red fruits, silky tannins and all the length of a great Pinot".

The nose, it's best feature, has rose petals, cranberries, red currants, strawberries and cream, mulberries and white pepper. The pure palate follows those flavours, with a warm peppery lift and strong acid line mid-palate, leaving cranberries, mulberries, cream and pepper lingering delicately afterwards.

At $39 from MyCellars.com.au and Cellar Door (both sold out), it's probably fair for a JH 97 point Pinot. Much better than my first bottle 4 months ago, but not one I am going to add to the illustrious wish list.
