March 6, 1991 - With K and Miranda at home at dinner (fettuccine Alfredo). Fine yellow-gold color. Absolutely brilliant. Good legs. Fruit in the nose is lovely: creamy fruit, with apple, butter, and vanillin oak aromas. In the mouth, it's a tremendously flavorful wine, with loads of citrusy, tropical fruit. Very rich and juicy. Everything is in great balance. I'm surprised by the hedonistic levels of juicy fruit. Clearly the best Kalin I have ever had, and has kept well in the bottle. Provides evidence for Parker's views about these wines. Very unique with its lively, juicy, tremendously ripe fruit. 5-11-16-7: 89/100.
