April 18, 2021 - No decanting. Nose is rather harsh, subdued nuts, hint of floral sweetness. Palate is medium high acidic, medium tannins for Syrah. I would have said balanced tannins if it were less acidic, less volatile. While I don’t detect TCA, there is a hint of cork.

After sitting for an hour or so, the volatility is tamed. Still, it is underwhelming. It paired ok with roast beef and mashed potatoes, didn’t make me say wow. Perhaps, I had high expectations, but I’d look for other Syrah bottles

October 5, 2018 - A nicely balanced Syrah. A little less complex flavor profile on the palate than the best Syrahs. But not so fruit forward that it overwhelms what you might be eating. Don’t see it as getting better with age but will likely hold up for a few more years.

March 2, 2018 - Better when decanted. A little acidic otherwise, but once it opens up to a gentle berry flavor
