February 10, 2021 - Expected it would be way past its best-before and maybe undrinkable but was greeted with a wine that has morphed into tastes of earth and barnyard almost as though it was a pinot noir from Rully. I really enjoyed the experience.

June 8, 2016 - I waited too long with this one. It was slightly oxidized.

December 30, 2015 - I was surprised that it was still drinking.....a bit astringent on the nose, but tasted of sweet red fruit and a bit of earth. A simple wine, but lasted longer than the critics predicted. Absolutely no tannins at this point. Drink up!

December 19, 2015 - Nose: Red fruit jumps out of the glass at you as soon as it's uncorked. After an hour in the decanter, dark fruit showed through.

Taste: Blackberries, dark plums, and all kinds of dark, jammy fruit. Very sweet, but not overwhelmingly so. Tannins all but gone. Don't leave it any longer, or risk losing it.

It still stood up to a rich pot roast, and did very well with earthy mushrooms and herbs like rosemary and thyme.

    November 9, 2013 - Prunes. In a good way.
