June 8, 2004 - Bright disc. Medium ruby robe with red rim. Clean nose, showing moderately intense aromas of mushrooms, damp earth and smoky black cherry. Light to medium-bodied on the palate, with high acidity and light but coarse tannins. The flavors are similar to the nose but are lost in a hollow mid-palate. Short, tart finish. The nose on this wine belies the palate...These grapes were simply unripe!
