January 22, 2023 - Mix Batard with 2014 and you get something at the top of its form. Agree with the tasting notes of The Guzz. This might get a hair better with time, but why wait.

January 23, 2021 - Excellent bordering on next level. Very pure and expressive honeyed white flower and stones on the nose. Some brown sugar, more orchard on the palate but the floral purity remains the hallmark. Tight, almost painfully on the midpalate. Minerality soaks through the finish. A very pretty bottle with all the makings of something great. Enjoyable now but needs time to come together.

August 12, 2020 - Just an outstanding offering. Crisp, clean, complex. Floral notes mixed with honey, and slight notes of ginger. Enjoyed every bit as it evolved over a two hour leisurely tasting.

February 16, 2020 - Consistent with previous tastings. Bold and muscular, a great contrast to the filigree Leflaive Pucelles. Oaky but there’s enough fruit to support it. Juicy acidity. What Bâtard is supposed to be and surely will get even more interesting in the years to come as it develops more nuances. But just plain delicious now.
