March 16, 2024 - Opened and decanted 1.5 hours ahead of smokehouse-rubbed grilled pork loin, roasted potatoes, and seared asparagus. Dark, murky, purple color with a more expressive nose than our last tasting. Good dark fruit emerging on the palate with a strong spine of acidity and minerality. Even after 10+ years this will improve, so drink 2025-2032. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score:92.

March 12, 2023 - It was the WOTN against all kinds of pretty stiff competition. It's just amazing how this one brings all the flavors, without being too New World, and it pairs so well with food. It's that mountain acidity, I guess.

January 20, 2023 - Outstanding hillside cabernet. The structure in the wine is tremendous, and the acidity is refreshing compared to the standard CA cabernet.

July 31, 2022 - In a nice window right now. Good black and red fruit with precision, balance, depth and texture on the palate and finish. Drink 2022-2032. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 92.
