Community Tasting Notes 2

March 25, 2016 - This wine was tight and burned on the taste. Tasted cherry and blackberry and some hint of tobacco . I plan to drink remainder on 2nd day and hope it mellows some. 2nd day much better- mellowed and less acidity

December 16, 2015 - Drank over 2 nights. First night, nose of black fruits and plum and a touch of spice. Dark on the palate with ripe blackberry, blueberry and plum. Medium palate, not over jammy almost leaves you wishing there were just a little heavier fruit flavors. Medium finish, but a bit closed. Second night, same fruits on the nose and palate but seems like fresher fruit now. A bit more vanilla oak and black raspberry then before. smooth finish and a slight quenching acidity at the end. There is a slight hint of petit Verdot or Syrah in here but the website does not say anything about blend. This drinks well now with a few hours in decanter but will be easy to cellar 5-7 years. Good QPR.
