February 22, 2017 - This is certainly the best La Tour Blanche I have had, just a lovely crème brulee in a glass. Unctuous, with sweet and acidity in great balance. I did get the metallic note on day 4, but not at all until then.

February 6, 2017 - Excellent wine. It doesn't have the strength of a "great" Sauternes, but I love the balance and grace on the palate. Lively but not too punchy with the acidity; sweet but not syrupy; noble core of candle wax. It's the last note that makes this wine a winner to me. Additional notes of pineapple, orange zest, and caramelized banana.

January 7, 2017 - From 375ml. Honey, caramel and nutty aromas on the nose. Close to full bodied with wonderful density, richness and balanced sweetness. Honey, pineapple and orange upfront with apple, lemon and pear behind. The middle is spectacular as you switch from the more honey and tropical initial flavors, to the more balancing and tart notes behind. It feels clean, rich and seamless. Depth and length on the finish as it shows nuttiness, vanilla cream and honey at first, then deepens and lengthens further and changes to almost a tart and then bright orange final note. Impressive length. Shows it's best just chilled, rather than cold or cellar temperature. Considering how much complexity and evolution this wine showed, it should continue to improve, may score higher in the future and certainly has a long life ahead.

September 10, 2016 - Great balanced Sauternes...not too heavy or sweet, drinking well now, but could last a bit more.

(Chateau La Tour Blanche Sauternes) This too is very appealing, with plenty of fresh honey and vanilla aroma to be found on the nose. Rich but quite direct in style, creamy and lusciously textured, with a wealth of vanilla and spice flavour. A good presence of acidity too, to provide some lift and balance. This perhaps has really excellent potential.
