May 11, 2017 - Happy Birthday Kevin! (Kevin and Vicki's House): What a great end to a fantastic tasting. My wife's favorite white (??!!) but I did also score it quite high. Spicy, fruit, floral, great integration and balance. In other words, thsi is all that and a bag of chips for a Sauternes at this moment in time. Drinking great from a 750 right now.

May 10, 2017 - A Wednesday Wine Lunch with Some Oomph (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Light gold color. Drank 1 glass over 30 minutes. Delicious with our butterscotch pot de creme I must say. Orange, orange creamsicle, creamed honey, honey, floral, spiced, very good texture and length. This is in a sweet spot at the moment. The '05 Sauternes are coming back into their own now.

May 10, 2017 - Kevin's (Rocknroller) Birthday Bash: Nose: Clean aromas of pineapples and lemon zest. Palate: Very spicy and perfumed with sweet apricots and a long finish. Tons of life ahead for this one.

April 16, 2017 - Solid all around. Still a bit young and somewhat cloying but not offensive.

February 22, 2017 - This is certainly the best La Tour Blanche I have had, just a lovely crème brulee in a glass. Unctuous, with sweet and acidity in great balance. I did get the metallic note on day 4, but not at all until then.

(Chateau La Tour Blanche Sauternes) This too is very appealing, with plenty of fresh honey and vanilla aroma to be found on the nose. Rich but quite direct in style, creamy and lusciously textured, with a wealth of vanilla and spice flavour. A good presence of acidity too, to provide some lift and balance. This perhaps has really excellent potential.
