June 12, 2016 - Ruby red; aromas of ripe red fruit, some floral and red berries; clean flavors, smooth, bright, fresh, dry clean flavors, balanced, medium - light bodied; clean easy drinking finish.

March 19, 2016 - nose: stew. tomato stew, little ocean, dates, blackberry compote, and inky dark nose. Taste: Medium body with good meaty, stew like taste. Black berries and black cherry. Dry and dusty with some dry herbs. Taste old world. A little chinese medicine notes. Dry tannin. Cherry definitely in it with some sourness. It is a non-offensive and very versatile wine...I think depending on your current mood/situation, this can swing between am 85 - 90 point. I am happy enough...

February 18, 2016 - Apparently it's National Drink Wine Day? OK, cool. Deep ruby coloring hinting towards purple. Aromas of cherry, plum, cedar, and minerals. Medium body, acid, and finish, with flavors of black cherry, plum, leather, orange peel, and mineral. Prob. a bit young, but I picked this up on vacation, so what're you gonna do? Fruity, not too complex, but enjoyable nonetheless. Paired with simply done pork chops and collard greens, and it worked well.

July 28, 2015 - Completely unfamiliar with this producer, highly recommended by a very skilled retail palate. He opened it for me, we tasted in the store and I thought it was great, and then he gave me the bottle to take home. That's not a bad way to build loyalty. All names withheld to protect against vicious NJ ABC rules.

Immediately attractive translucent cherry red. Nose wafts a curious but appealing mix of expected fresh red berries and completely unexpected notes of peach, sawdust and violets. There's nothing funky about it, but by the same token a certain gaminess lurked in the background. Lithe, springy, and fresh on the palate, with light but persistent tannins, very nicely balanced, again with the meat thing keeping it edgy. Medium bodied at best right now, no reason why it wouldn't gain some weight and added interest with a little bottle age. A very nice showing at that lovely 12.5% alcohol level. Imported by T. Elenteny.
