Community Tasting Notes 28

August 29, 2021 - Deep rich golden color with a nose of an old sauterne. On its last legs, but still very enjoyable with baked lobster.
Tastes like and old sauterne and an old vintage champagne, with tropical fruits and enough acid to keep the balance. Delicious!

November 12, 2020 - This is a delightful, fully mature white Bordeaux that I find intriguing with its pretty tropical and stone fruits, floral notes, baking spice and black pepper on the longish finish. This was a pleasure!

    February 22, 2020 - Note: I use a scale on which 85 represents a very good wine.

Nothing last forever, and I suspect this is starting to fade a little.
Still a great bottle, not quite as great as the bottle I had last March.
    Could be bottle variation.

    Outstanding. Fully mature, totally enjoyable.
Deep rich color and the taste was just the same.

I have two more, and I am not certain how much longer they will last, but there is no reason to delay gratification.

January 26, 2019 - My second to last bottle and what an elegant, mature beauty. The delicate stone and tropical fruit flavors are soft and round with supporting baking spice(mostly nutmeg) undertones. If I had to find any fault with this delightful bottle of wine, it would be that it was lacking slightly in acidity leaving it feeling abit flabby, but that's nitpicking, all in all, this was a pleasurable experience from start to finish. I'll probably be drinking up my last bottle in the near future.
