March 1, 2024 - Very pretty nose with cherries, sous bois, strawberries, pine needles, and sweet fruit. Good acidity with more sweet fruit, raspberries, and forest notes on the palate. Nice finish. Really lovely and well balanced wine that is probably drinking at peak right now. Extremely enjoyable experience.

March 11, 2017 - La Paulée de New York Gala Dinner (Pier Sixty - New York NY): Small glass, brief note. Brings forth both classic Vosne and NSG styling with wonderful black fruit and five spice, all combined into a 1993 package of big structure now elegantly evolved. At a wonderful point in that development.

October 11, 2013 - Has some pine needle sap smells a la ‘old school’ Faiveley and aged Roumier on the nose. It is very pure and very Nuits with plenty of earth, iron and sweet meats. It has put on considerable mid palate pud since my last bottle a few years ago and now has a delicious sweet cherry heart. It has excellent detail and finishes with brisk minerally acidity that scythed through roast duck breast like a vinous knife. In two words…fucking good.

February 24, 2010 - Workman like with all its meat, soot and iron notes. There’s a charge of ripe cassis to the aroma as well as plenty of pine needle sap. The palate is muscular and sinewy and there’s loads of crunchy berry action as the abundant acidity snap freezes the fruit. It is quite compact in fact if I were a little less generous I may comment on the clipped metallic finish.
