March 25, 2022 - Last bottle of a somewhat sentimental purchase made in 2016. Left in storage with our ski stuff during COVID so probably kept a bit too long. But still a really nice Chablis. Not as fresh or mineral as I would like but very grapefruity and went really well with cod, shrimp and avocado. I would like to find more from this producer.

May 2, 2021 - The funny thing with these high end Piuze chablis is that they normally exhibit fruit and some deft oak but most of all acidity and a complex saline tension early on, all of which always makes me think the wine in question would be better with some cellar time.
Well, this being one example of having kept a Piuze a little longer than I would normally for chablis, and maybe it's just me but the first question that came to my mind was - maybe this would have been better a couple of years ago!
The acidity is there, the wine still an elegant chardonnay but the tension feels faded somewhat and the body feels just slightly... clumsy.
There is still some green apple and grilled lemon notes so not oxidized by any means. But the freshness of young chablis has not (yet?) been replaced by mature notes of the sort that always makes you happy you kept a bottle of white Burgundy longer than you planned if you happen to come across such a bottle.
Powerful, some grapefruit kernel and ginger bite on the long finish, a structured wine with a lot of density. Perhaps I am in the wrong and this will show itself ten years down the line?1 person found this helpful Comment -

July 5, 2020 - Racey and precise, lots of chalky minerality, top note of honeyed florals. Very good density, significant dry extract, finishes with a saline minerality. I love 2014 Chablis and Piuze's 2014 Bougros is very good.

April 30, 2020 - Same as my last note, this remains a favorite Chablis. Lemon and citrus, mineral, crisp and acidic. Great with food or before. I only have one bottle left, will have to find more
