November 21, 2015 - Tasted at the winery. This is the oldest Finger Lakes riesling I've ever tasted and shows just how long a quality wine from this region will last. Floral, spice and minerals on the nose which was similar in profile to the 2014, but softer and yet, more complex aromatically. Soft fruit upfront with apple and varied tropical fruit, but the balancing acidity kept this firmly in the dry style. Medium bodied and fully smooth and integrated, the fruit was soft, rather than bright but the acidity balanced it perfectly so the wine felt complete rather than fading. Based on where the fruit and acidity are today, this wine should continue to drink at this level for another couple of years before it finally starts to fade.

September 6, 2010 - Hint of acetate on initial nose and taste that blows off to reveal a mix of complex tropical fruit and citrus. Good balance and acidity. Still very enjoyable

March 13, 2008 - beautiful nose of citrus and floral notes, along with a bit of pineapple. nice minerality and good acidity. The acidity wasn't as sharp as it was in the prior bottle, I had drank. Still a nice complex riesling.

July 1, 2007 - The wine overall was better when not as chilled.
Nice and complex Riesling, the best from the finger lakes, I have had so far.
Nice color followed by nice floral and citrus tones. On the palate the acid and minerality was very nice.
    Would buy again.

(Hermann J. Wiemer Riesling Dry) A beautiful wine with a citrusy, lime-driven nose and crisp apple, pear and citrus flavors. Balanced with fresh acidity, the finish is longer than you might expect.

(Herman J. Wiemer Dry Riesling) #1; COLOR-medium golden; NOSE-classic German, ripe sweet apple, petrol; TASTE-very crisp & clean, nice segue from apple to sour pear, lot of citrus, nice honey, nice long finish, nice body weight, very elegant & smooth; GV-90
